Spicy Lentil Wrap with Tahini (TJ’s Copycat Recipe!)
If you love Trader Joe’s Spicy Lentil Wrap with Tahini sauce, you’re in for a treat today! My version of the TJ’s Spicy Lentil Wrap with Tahini is easy, delicious, and oh-so-spicy! If it was any easier to make, Trader Joe’s would sue me for trademark infringement!
Here’s the deal:
I’ve fallen in love.
No, it’s not a boy (Cameron would kill me!), it’s these Spicy Lentil Wraps with Tahini from Trader Joe’s.
Oh. My. Good. God. Sweet. Baby. Jesus.
Does that give you an idea of how infatuated I am with the all-fulfilling Spicy Lentil Wrap?
To be completely honest, I didn’t even want to try them. I was hangry, however, and Trader Joe’s has the best grab-‘n’-go selection of vegan food!
“Oh? What’s this? Spicy Lentil Wrap? Do I even like lentils?? I guess I’ll try one!”
That was it. One bite, and they owned me. Trader Joe’s grabbed my soul through my taste buds and took me on the flavor trip of a lifetime.
“This is a problem”, I thought to myself.
I definitely can’t justify $5 for this wrap everyday (let alone the gas to drive there!).
You know what they say, though.
Wait for someone who keeps you sane, but also drives you crazy in all the right ways.
~ Some Crazy Bitch
Keeps me sane? Check
Drives me crazy (thinking about eating it all day)? Check!
So, what did I do?
I drove my broke-ass to the store 4 times last week to buy one!
Introducing: The Spicy Lentil Wrap with Tahini to Rule All Wraps
At this point, there was only one thing to do: recreate it at home!
OH EM GEE, guys! This wrap is everything I dreamed of.
Creamy tahini, spicy sambal, and crunchy veggies come together for a party in my mouth I wouldn’t want to miss!
Best of all, these babes take like 5 minutes to assemble. I’ve had two today already! 😂
My version is spicier than the original (yes, GAWD!), and easy-as-hell to throw together. Craving even more spice? Throw in some more chili paste and get the tissues ready.

January 25, 2022 at 1:32 amLove your humor and the fact that you are like me, not willing to shell out the 5 bucks when we can make our own that’s healthier and tastes way better. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

February 1, 2024 at 1:35 pmMaking this now! Is it possible the ratios for the sauce is a typo? With 1/4c tahini and 1/2c water, it’s incredibly thin!

April 5, 2024 at 3:54 pmThe sauce from TJs is also fairly thin, but it does depend on the consistency of your Tahini. Experiment with different ratios to find what you like!
