Easy Nut-Free Crunchy Vegan Parmesan Cheese: 2 Minutes, 4 Ingredients

Mood: “Necessity is the Mother of Invention“. Have you grown up hearing this Greek proverb? Well, I have. And last weekend, this phrase sprang to life, right before my eyes! See, I had just finished fixing a salad for lunch & it was all hot, fresh & ready to go, when suddenly I realized, my meal was missing some much needed oomph! Croutons, Vegan Cheese, both? Panic struck when I discovered that I had none of these wonderful things in my kitchen at that moment. What should I do?! I didn’t have enough time, ingredients or inclination to make a nut cheese. My heart sank further when I saw the fresh Arugula slowly wilting from the heat of the salad. Think Paroma, THINK! And that’s when it hit me, like a bright ray of AHA sunshine! I used what I had in my pantry & lo behold, Instant Nut Free Vegan Parmesan Cheese! Simple. Herby. Crunchy. Cheesy. Delicious:) No nuts needed, no food processor required. Just 1 bowl, 2 minutes, 4 ingredients:) Part Crouton. Part Cheese. 100% Garnish Goodness:)

Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp Panko Bread Crumbs
• 2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast*
• 1/2 tsp Sea Salt Crystals

• 1 tsp Dried Herb Mix*



Method:
1. Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl.

2. Crumble the nutritional yeast flakes & bread crumbs further using your hands (or a spoon). The mixture should be half powder, half crumbs, so that you have a nice Parmesan like texture, with an extra crouton like crunch:)

3. And voila! Your Easy Nut Free Crunchy Vegan Parmesan Cheese is ready:) Sprinkle the cheese over salads, pasta, pizza, the works:) You can store it in an airtight container for upto a week:) Enjoy:)

Notes:
* Panko is an extremely crunchy member from the Japanese side of Bread Crumbs family:) It is crunchier and flakier than regular bread crumbs & it is important to use Panko in order to get the crispy crouton like texture.
