How to cook Trader Joe’s Potstickers

There are a multitude of ways to prepare Trader Joe’s Potstickers. Right on the back of the packaging you will find instructions on how to pan fry, steam and microwave (instructions in recipe at bottom as well). Personally, our preferred method is to pan fry or air fry. Microwaving the potstickers is not our recommended way.

How to Air Fry Potstickers

The air fryer is a superb way to achieve a crispy and delicious potstickers every time. Simply preheat your air fryer to 370F. Lightly brush or spray the fryer with olive oil. Cook for 8-10 minutes making sure to flip or shake around the potstickers half way through cooking. Enjoy!

Are the Chicken or Pork Potstickers better?

Trader Joe’s sells both chicken and pork gyoza Potstickers. When serving these golden dumplings to all the Whisking Kiddos gang it’s always a unanimous vote for the chicken potstickers. The pork (in my opinion) are just as tasty as the chicken. The ginger flavor in the pork potstickers is a bit more pungent and probably why the kiddos prefer the chicken. Although, when there are only pork in the freezer they still devour every last bite. Whether you choose pork, chicken or both, hands down, these are the best frozen potstickers you can buy.

You can find the orange and blue bags in the freezer section. They are fully cooked and just need to be heated before serving.

Recently, my step daughter fell in love with these Tickers (as she calls them). Now, they are forever named Tickers in my home. I’ll be running out to Trader Joe’s to pick up as many bags as we can fit in our freezer. Such a delicious snack, appetizer or main dish to have handy. As a family of seven it’s vital to have handy all the easy and freezer friendly foods we can find.
