Garlicky Lemon Chops


An easy way to add lots of flavor to everyday chops, whether they be pork chops or lamb chops!

It's loaded with garlic, so maybe don't do it for Valentine's day, ha!


Hopefully it's out of my system by Monday because I have to work and apparently garlic seeps out of my pours. And this was next level garlic, so freaking good.


Garlic is also great for you, unfortunately just not for anyone near you after;)


This recipe is super simple, before you start cooking sprinkle both sides of your chops with a very light dusting of dried thyme powder, some salt and pepper. Juice your lemon, go ahead and add your water to the lemon juice, set aside.

Peel your garlic and cut in half long ways, if large then cut in quarters, also long ways. You want to expose as much internal surface area as possible with out cutting too small.


Heat a large skillet on med/high heat and add your fat, once hot, add garlic. Move garlic to the side and add chops (you want it to be hot enough that it sizzles a bit). Let cook several minutes and then start spooning some of the oil over the top of the chops, do this periodically to start getting some of the garlic oil flavor into the chops. Flip chops when about half way done and continue to spoon oil and garlic over the chops every 30 seconds or so, continue until chops are cooked to your preference (165F is recommended). Remove chops to a warm plate.


Add lemon juice, water, parsley and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook another minute or so. Spoon sauce over chops, I served on a bed of green beans and used the sauce liberally to also flavor the beans!
