Giant Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie

Try a new spin on classic chocolate chip cookies with our Giant Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie. Baked in an ovenproof skillet, this deep-dish cookie is made for scooping warm straight from the pan with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter (1½ sticks), softened
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 ⅓ cups self-rising flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips, divided
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch ovenproof skillet.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugars and vanilla. Beat in the eggs. Stir in the flour and salt until well combined. Fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips. Spoon the mixture into the prepared skillet and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  3. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until deep golden. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
