Step-by-Step Instructions

First step: Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Second step: Next, add the chopped sweet potatoes and stir to coat in oil. Cook for 4 minutes.

Third step: Then stir in the chopped onion and bell pepper and cook for 8 minutes, stirring only once or twice to allow the onion and sweet potato to brown.

Fourth step: Reduce the heat to medium and add the garlic, salt, black pepper, chili powder, and paprika. Saute, constantly stirring, for 4 minutes.

Fifth step: Then cover the skillet and cook for 5 to 8 minutes until the sweet potatoes are tender.
