You all know by now how much I love sweets. I love them. A lot. I also love easy, which is why this fudge recipe is one of my favorites to make for family and friends. Whether it’s a birthday party, a potluck, or simply just because, I love making this dulce de leche fudge because it’s as easy as it is delicious. It’s a rich treat I can have ready in no time, and everyone always loves it.

Dulce de Leche Fudge

This fudge is so easy and so delicoius – the perfect combination. It starts with an easy fudge recipe that only takes about 5 to 10 minutes to melt on the stovetop. The, I pour half of it into a pan, drizzle dulce de leche all over it, top it with the rest of the fudge, and finally, drizzle the rest of the dulce de leche over the top. After that, I just let it harden and watch it disappear!

Ingredients

You’ll only need a few basic ingredients to make this recipe, and you can find them all in your kitchen or at your local grocery store. Even the dulce de leche is readily available everywhere!

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • (1) 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup dulce de leche
  • 1/2 cup dulce de leche for the middle layer and top decoration
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, I used fine sea salt

How to Make Dulce de Leche Fudge

Making this fudge is super easy. It just takes a few minutes on the stovetop. The rest is just layering and letting it harden. That’s all there is to it! It only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.

  1. Line an 8 x 8 or 7 x 9 pan with parchment paper and lightly spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Spoon 1/2 cup of dulce de leche into a piping bag or Ziploc bag with one corner snipped off. Set aside.
  3. Cook the white chocolate chips, milk, 1/4 cup dulce de leche, salt, and butter in a medium pot over low heat until melted. Mix to combine. Take off the heat and add in the 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Gently mix.
  4. Pour half the fudge into the pan.
  5. Drizzle the dulce de leche onto the fudge and pour the remaining fudge over it.
  6. Using the dulce de leche in the bag, pipe lines on top of the fudge and create a swirl pattern using a knife.
  7. Cover the fudge and let it harden overnight or at least 4 hours on the counter. When hardened, cut into squares and enjoy!

Substitutions and Variations

  • Try adding chopped walnuts or pecans in and on top of your fudge for extra flavor and crunch.
  • If you can’t find dulce de leche, caramel sauce produces a similar flavor.
  • Try adding chocolate chips to the top of your fudge.
